Problems with Amana ACS7270AB freestanding Smooth Top Range

I was thrilled with my range from day one. The technology of the cooktop heats quickly. The convection oven is my first. It cooks so evenly. Then. . .the problems began. The unit would go into Err? (do not recallthe number). The err would display on the screen and the control pad would not work. The stovetop has not been impacted. It continues to work well. However, no other function works. The range goes into the "Err" and beeps (loudly and continuously). I have replaced the touch panel five times. It will work for a week or two, sometimes more, then repeats the pattern all over again. I was able to use the oven and broiler for the first two years. But, not since then. I am deciding now whether to begin replacing electronic parts beyond the panel membrane, or junk this and stop pouring money into the trash. Such a shame. As I began. This was a great unit, when it still worked. Now, I plug it in when I have to use the cooktop. Deal with the loud beeping and unplug it when done. I purchased a $30 Black and Decker toaster oven for anything I cannot microwave. I am so very disappointed in this $1400 investment.

Do you own this unit? Please describe repair issue you are having.

How long did you have this slide-in electric range for? What is the problem with it right now? What kind of diagnostics did you perform? Any earlier repairs?
