Looking for an Owner's Manual / User Guide?

Did you know that many appliances bearing the same name are produced by different manufacturers? For example, a lot of Kenmore dishwashers are made by Whirlpool and Frigidaire, while certain Maytag washers were produced by Samsung.

Service and repair manuals often refer to the original base model before it was rebranded.

Gas Burners, Oven

We have found that the gas burners spread the flame to much to the outside. As a result, the heat tends to spill to the outside of the pot or pan, leaving the centre much cooler. Stir frying in a wok is not the kind of experience we expected with a gas range. Also, the range of adjustment of the knobs goes in quarters. It is not precisely variable as you would expect. There is a gap between the metal pan for the burners and the console that tends to collect crumbs and debris - virtually impossible to clean out. The burner pan finish was damaged by a pot boiling over! The oven door glass clouds up over time and the self-cleaning feature never completely cleans it. There is a space between the glass side of the door and the metal liner. With the holes on top of the door it is easy to spill into the centre of the door - impossible to clean. Recently the oven temperature sensor failed. The only way we knew was because things we baked began to come out undercooked. Turns out the oven heats up but does not maintain temperature.
