KItchen Aid Dishwasher (trouble from the start)

Purchased this dishwasher new from Sears in Maryland. After several months the control panel started to malfunction. The only cycle that still operated was the longest hotest cycle. Resetting never worked and once I got around to contacting KitchenAid the warranty had expired. Today I smelled a faint odor of smoke and the dishwasher will no longer run...no lights...nothing. Tried resetting with circut breaker...nothing. Very disappointed with this model. Last dish washer ran fine for many, many years.
