freezer stop working

we bought this freezer 2009,couple months ago freezers light and compressor turn off when we open freezer door, then we took off the light and covered the sensor below the freezer door. later we notice the compressor sound gets louder everytime it activate. i turn off the power and it never turn back on again but the themostat light still on. Water start leaking out
